"This isn't the morgue, hon. You can't just lie there like a cadaver."

I opened my eyes to see Roxie peeping down at me, her unfettered hair slipping slowly across her shoulders.

I simpered, caught between a giggle and a groan. "I'm in position," I informed her, as if it were painfully obvious.

Roxie arched her brows above her eyes, which were green like the Statue of Liberty and normally so easy to get lost in. But at that moment, my gaze was glued to the ceiling. "I want to kiss you," I murmured. "On the lips."

There was silence, then a squeal. I took a look. Roxie's grin dented her cheeks as she batted her Betty Boop eyelashes in that devilishly angelic way of hers. "Pardon me?"

I felt my face start to change colors, mimicking my mood ring. "I want to kiss you on the lips," I repeated.

Roxie made a fish face and moved her mouth toward mine.

"Not there," I muttered, pressing my palm against her pucker.

"Then where?" she asked when I pulled my hand away.

"Down there, that's where," I grumbled, inspecting the bright red, hibiscus-hued stain Rox had left on my skin. I rummaged through my lexicon of euphemisms, looking for something a little more adult. "On your lady parts..."
